Participants will cycle through sun-drenched olive groves, charming coastal towns,
and rolling vineyards, encountering the authentic charm of this enchanting region.
Puglia, known for its cultural and historical treasures, from Romans to pirates and a old fashioned till modern fishing industry.
Our tour takes us along small ports, where fishermen sell the fish they caught in the morning.
Along
the scenic routes, you will have the chance to enjoy the region's renowned cuisine,
which includes fresh seafood, handmade orecchiette pasta, and locally produced olive oil and wines.
The tour also provides an opportunity to delve into Puglia's rich history, with visits
to ancient Roman ruins and centuries-old castles, revealing the fascinating past of the region.
Nature enthusiasts will find joy in riding along the stunning Adriatic coastline, with its
crystal-clear waters and pristine beaches, as well as traversing serene countryside landscapes.
Bicycling
Bicycling days are 30-35 miles with a moderate level of difficulty.
There are a few hills, especially on the first part of the trip but they are mostly not very long.
Most of the cycling is fine on the gentle slopes of the hills.
On the second day of the two-night stays we can adjust the schedule depending on ambition.
Overall, the trip is rated as moderate.
Arrival and Departure
Arrival and departure will be in Bari, there is an airport and there
are fast trains from Rome to Bari.
